Skin Nourishing Recipes

  • In Traditional Chinese Medicine, this combination is often referred to as a "Beauty Soup" because of its powerful ability to nourish the body from the inside out.

    Ingredients (2–3 servings)

    • Dried snow fungus: 10 g

    • Goji berries: 10 g

    • Red dates (Jujube): 6–8 pieces (~30 g)

    • Water: 800–1000 ml

    Instructions

    1. Soak snow fungus
      Soak dried snow fungus (10 g) in cold water for 30–60 minutes until fully expanded.
      Trim off the hard base and tear into small pieces.

    2. Prep red dates
      Rinse the red dates (6–8).
      Lightly score or gently crush them to release flavor.

    3. Simmer
      Add 900 ml water, snow fungus, and red dates to a pot.
      Bring to a boil, then reduce to low heat and simmer 30–40 minutes until the soup becomes slightly thick and gelatinous.

    4. Add goji berries
      Add goji berries (10 g) and simmer another 5–8 minutes.

    5. Serve
      Drink warm or chilled.
      It thickens more after refrigeration.

    Texture control

    • Thicker / more gelatinous: simmer 50–60 minutes

    • Lighter: use 1000 ml water and simmer ~30 minutes
