  • A warming, circulation-boosting rainy-day soup that liftsenergy, clears dampness, and supports the Spleen & Lung systems.

    Ingredients (serves 3–4):

    • Chicken thighs or drumsticks — 600–700 g

    • Fresh ginger — 60 g (about 10–12 slices)

    • Water — 1.5 liters

    • Sea salt — 5–6 g, or to taste

    • Optional: green onion (10 g) for garnish

    Instructions:

    1. Rinse the chicken and pat dry.

    2. In a pot, sauté the ginger slices for 1 minute to release fragrance.

    3. Add the chicken and sear lightly on both sides.

    4. Pour in 1.5 L of water and bring to a boil.

    5. Reduce to low heat and simmer 45–60 minutes.

    6. Season with sea salt, serve warm, garnish with green onion.

    Dr. Wu’s Special Note:

This is my ALL TIME favorite broth to make! I make this almost on the weekly as the weather cools down!

Ginger warms the channels, disperses cold, improves circulation, and boosts the Spleen—perfect for cold or rainy-day sluggishness.
